I hate cluttered desktops. BTW, if you’re going to have icons on the desktop I suggest using fxvisor. It removes the little shortcut arrow, then putting blank characters for the name will make it look even nicer. Link to fxvisor for 64bit OS.

Hooked my laptop up to my monitor at home;

Great for photoshop

Before I get anyone saying “just use the desktop lolololol”, Windows was reinstalled just before I went to uni, there’s almost nothing on it, all my files are on the laptop.
