Obviously I know you’re running windows 2000, I used it myself after win98se but it’s only with the nvidia control panel that I discovered the window transparency feature when I got my geforce 2 mx.
Why anyone would use windows 2000, i dont know. Windows 7 is the best OS MS have released.
Windows XP is still the fastest on modern hardware, win2k is for oldschool motherfuckers who can’t stand 32bit icons. my only beef with 7 is the shitload of new config windows to remember instead of the extremely familiar ones in winNT,95,98,ME,2K,XP. Vista was kind of in the middle of the transition which makes it look even more half-assed.

I have a request for all you guys makin your own wallpapers. I’ve been looking for a nice Arctic Cat wallpaper and can’t find anything I like, so I was wondering if anyone on here could do one up for me…

I simply don’t have the software or prowess that other members have (Patonki, Spooks, lookin at you guys) to make anything more complicated than simple cropped images for signatures and such.
I’d like a dark background, minimalistic, simple, I just don’t have the means or imagination to create anything cool like that. It would be much appreciated if someone who has some spare time and is bored could help me out with this. If that isn’t the case, is there someplace else I can go to make this request?

That logo looks kind of terrible in white.
Oh, yeah I hear you, I just meant similar in the way that it will be logo in the middle with flames or something cool like that. Perhaps a mixture of darker tones, greyish grungy background, black logo, red glow around it, or red flames around it to offset it from the dark background… Colors are inconsequential. Although. I would like the eyes to glow green. That’d be sweet. Obviously since I’m not doing it, the colors and design are totally up to you. I particularly like your style, Ram, so I trust your judgement.
EDIT: Or the logo not centered. I don’t really care.

don’t use windows sidebar, it eats too much ram (as conveniently shown in the windows sidebar gadget)
Don’t use file attachments, they decrease the size of your image, use a file upload tool like imageshack.us and [img] tags
Also you can use ultramon to put two different wallpapers on each screen or stretch one image across both.
Apart from that, nice desktop.
Thanks. I have 8GB of RAM so not too worried about RAM usage. Yeah I will use imageshack, just thought this might be easier, but found out you can’t zoom in on the image. I tried Ultramon and put something simple like a black background on one and another color on the other and my video card did not like that.
