Pointless Threads: Changing the English Language

There’s lolspeak and Interweb English.

To backtrack again…

:brow: I’ve always said meter…regardless, try not to sound so high and mighty next time, it just makes you sound like an arse imho

a e i o u - English vowels.
a e i o u w y - Welsh vowels.
Welsh has more vowels than English, so that joke really isn’t funny or humorous in any way.

There’s more than one country in the United Kingdom that speak English… don’t forget Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

coughnot countriescough

We’re not the USA.

oshi- UK isn’t considered a country?

It’s a kingdom.

Hence the name, United Kingdom.

wikipedia says “sovereign state.”

For me it’s:

Even then, each ‘country’ within the Kingdom has it’s own national identity and government(each with differing amounts of power).

We should stop getting off topic so much though. @___@

Doesn’t change the fact they all aren’t countries.

Apparently they are. I thought that the UK was one country and Scotland and Wales and such were just territories or something with their own government, but apparently not.

That’s what shits me off about the British Isles. What exactly do you people call yourselves?

I just call Northern Ireland and England Britain, and everything else by their normal names. Screw this UK nonsense.

WE call ourselves by our country name, ie. English, Scotish, Welsh, Irish, Northern Irish.

Just learn the bloody language already!

Lol, people though that England etc weren’t countries? Massive fail.

Also, I don’t really care if the English language doesn’t always make sense. If you’re going to bitch about languages not making sense, use one of those universal languages instead.

Ohhh! คุณพูดกันเรื่องอะไรอยู่เนี่ย!

lolspeak?

i said ‘what are you talking about?!’ in thai lang

ok i was asking to others but i know what it is now
