KernCore, you asshole.
What? “Never upload test maps” is one of the general rules of ze german HL2 mapping tutorial site TheWall…
the reason… bad feedback and comments discourage the new mapper to make more… and that’s what I’ve done… a bad feedback…
Sry if my comment sounds so … evil … or rude … but test maps aren’t really something to upload and present… work and learn some more and then show us your work again…
and then we will see…
Well he didn’t know plus he should have the right to post whatever the hell he wants and I found it rude that you pointed it out in such a fashion as that, his maps aren’t terrible for a beginner, he trying, I just don’t like people who are rude with no reason but being outright.
And your post wasn’t evil, just rude (Yes I’m aware I said that already),
I’ve noticed in my travels that Germans are rather rude, so he is somewhat excused.
whatever… here is some news about first danger im working 1 week for this map

Okay, Platoon, the first thing that jumps out at me about ALL of your maps in this thread is that your lighting in the indoor areas is white. I challenge you to try to find a lamp of any kind that gives off white light. Incandescent light bulbs tend to have a yellowish tint to them, while fluorescent bulbs have a very light bluish tint. Just changing this will go a long way towards improving your maps.
Fuck off. I’m British, but I guess it must be my German ancestry that makes me feel like responding to your prejudice and stereotyping with such vehemence.
In my experience, Germans are generally very polite (and I’ve been to Germany).
If they are they does not sound so.
I’m 45% German, and I have relatives there, so I don’t hate them or anything. It’s just that I can’t stand their manners at times. So yeah, it must be my German ancestry that allows me to brush of your rage with such indifference.
Again with the 45%. I asked you about that last time and you didn’t answer. It makes no sense at all. But then, this is you…
I don’t recall you asking before, but here it is:
My great-grandparents (dad’s side) were completely German, while their children were born in Germany, but moved to America, where I am under the impression that they married into families of similar heritage. My parents are half-german (mom) and one third german (dad). Mix the results, and the additional 15% Dutch added through the generations, and you have me being almost half german. Mind you, it might not be 45% exactly, as it could possibly just be 40%, or maybe even 50%.
Now that we have clarified that,
TOPIC: Are you planning on releasing these maps separatly or as a campaign?
oh my god!.. what i do??? :fffuuu::fffuuu::fffuuu::fffuuu:
this Thread going bad:|
You didn’t do anything; that is why the thread is the way it is now
Very little, it’s not at all your fault.
Anyway, I would actually like to see some more of your work, i’m intrested in where this goes.
You haven’t responded to any of the feedback that you asked for. Another lighting tip: most of the time, you’ll want to use “light_spot” instead of “light.”

And before you ask, yes, I am going to keep pounding this point. White light looks silly.
