Is it a collectors thing? Or super duper sound quality? Clearly i know nothing about what you posted.
My dad has that second one. It’s been his tape deck for as long as I can remember.
It’s an amp from '72/'73. Sound quality is great, plus it has radio. I also have a Pioneer SA-610 (from '79), but the my right speaker would start to crackle and then I would have to fiddle around with some of the buttons to get it right again. I’ll probably have it repaired, and then I’ll have two awesome amps :awesome:
I bought this one for €60, which is pretty cheap I think.

also it doesn’t matter how study the cans are, the wire is still weak, and WILL break.
No-one told me Skullcandy was shit before I got them. 
I had the cheaper version of the first one posted for a long time. The problem with those was that the pots used had bad dust covers allowing specks to collect on the surface of the element beneath the wiper. Turn off the receiver and turn every pot 20 times to the left and the right. Verify the position of all of the dials so that your not going to explode the stereo when powered on. Fli the switch and you should have fewer/no pops. (If it was the Potentiometers that was causing the issues)

At 100% volume many of these things had <1% audio distortion.
I didn’t understand much of that, but I think it’s just the volume dial and the channel selector that are misaligned due to wear and tear.
