How would you compare it to say, an iPod touch?
i am never getting a touch screen mp3 player anymore. they can do much more than music, and i want them to only feature music, and do it good.
In terms of sound quality it’s much, much better, and the hard buttons along the top are incredibly useful as well. Otherwise, it’s not much use as anything other than an mp3 player. It can run flash apps, but no-one really makes them for it.
One of my favourite things about it’s completely customisable out of the box, down to menu functions to the functions of the hard buttons.
But can you use browser-based flash applications ? Like YouTube, or flash games?
Haven’t tried, but I doubt it. It doesn’t have wi-fi, so Youtube wouldn’t work anyhow.

Eh, it’s a music player before anything else. I don’t see why you’d want wi-fi on it.
Yeah, but, even my old 4GB Zune had wi-fi on it. Anyways, how does it make the sound quality better? I thought only the audio file’s quality would influence it.

Physical components have a big impact on sound quality.
It was apple’s idea to shove wifi into an mp3 player, microsoft was just trying to compete with it.
I still don’t see the point of wifi on mp3 players, I want a good amount of disk space and high quality music playback, itouch has neither.

With the ‘wheel paddle clutch’ that F1 cars have, it would be hard to do properly, and I wonder how many people would use it, as F1 cars don’t need manual clutch to shift.
Haha I’d dare any F1 drivers to try to shift at 15k rpm.
Theres two clutch paddels. One is the clutch completly on, the other is about 40% on, the first paddle is leg go at lights out, with the revs up, the second one is held there until its safe enought to let go without the anti-stall kicking in and not wheel spin the car. Its the same thing as you setting off with you clutch half way down with the revs up, you’ll set off very quickly with no wheel spin.
Don’t try it though, you’ll ruin the clutch.
bah Cowon 9. I was seriously contemplating getting one a while back. Things are amazing but pricey. The entire OS front end is flash and you can download the source files off the Cowon website. So when they say everything is customizable they mean it. You could replace the OS with linerider for all they care.
^ and apple still insists that flash is not a worthwile addition to their pad/phone/touch
Isn’t it amazing? Not only is it possible, the company even provides you with the means.
