Well the max turbo frequency of the i7 870 is 3.6GHz when only one core is in use. So it should easily reach that. Unfortunately you probably won’t notice much improvement because most things are still not multithreaded and you are basically overclocking to the max turbo frequency that your CPU would already be running at. C’mon Jambo. Go for 4.0 out tha gate!
