Pimp your...

souvenir from UK

I haven’t checked these forums for a year or two… glad to see the mod is still alive!

I recently pimped my HTPC… it was my old PC, a Lenovo with a Pentium D and a Radeon 4670 I added. I couldn’t really use it at 1080p, had to use 1280x720 resolution on the TV or the fans would keep running really loud. And it wasn’t smooth if I played high res movies with it.

I threw everything out and got a i3 in there. With the built-in GPU, it can decode and render HD movies without any lag. Put the CPU on a Intel BOXDH67BLB3 motherboard, which gave me a HDMI port that I could put to use. Ordered some HDMI cables on eBay for 3$ a piece.

On a completely unrelated note, I also got a poster of this:

Got my 670  . So here’s a before and after comparison with fuck you size images so you can see the dust particles in my computer. I did a little cable management as well.

That bitch be thick, yo.

just got settlers 6 + expansion for 5€

cool y/y ?

My old MX-3 died on me a couple of weeks ago, so I had to sell it to the scrapyard for 200 bucks after buying it for 2000$ and putting about 1200$ into it about a year and a half ago.

:frowning:

So I just bought a 2008 Kia Rio5 from my step-mother.

(Not my picture, obviously, but same year and colour)

4500$, 104 000 kms to the counter but almost all of it is highway. 5-speed standard, fully equiped (AC, heated seats, all that stuff).
Overall pretty boring car, but it’s very reliable and quite cheap to run.

I smell designated driver duty

I enjoy beer too much for that.

how come you have so much money :frowning:

Cable management bro where is it

PIMP MY PIMP

It’s better than it was. I did as much as I felt was possible. There were a few cables that were underneath other cables so I couldn’t move them unless I wanted to unplug everything again. I also didn’t know what to do with those spare PSU cables at the bottom. Like I said though, I did as much as I felt I could do.

I had money, but now the bank does :frowning: .

I had to borrow to buy this one, but I have a quite good credit profile and I have two jobs so the income is better than average.

new amp

Going huntin?

That’s some heavy airsoft gear you got there.

Nice. I have a cruddy Ares G36K that’s at a mate’s place now and a shemagh as main gear. Fuck yea.
