This first one was taken with the 400D and that crappy old 75-300mm F4 (No Is, usm - Bleh)

This next one WAS taken with the Canon 7D using a 24-70 2.8L series

This one was the 400D with that semi-sexy 55-250 lense - VERY FAST a much clearer than the standard kit lenses - Not very pricey either - well worth the cash I think.

This last one was shot with The 7D, and a Canon 10-22mm What an amazing little lens - It has actually gone up in price because it is such an amazing lens. I paid around $850, and now they sell in Canada for around, $1,050. Awesome gear - it is not even L series.

All of those pictures were taken over the course of a single late night.
The process involved a regular Canon Camera, five bottles of tequila and a roll of duct tape.

Hm, that looks like a baby owl… Not good if it’s out of a nest.

Also, that last bird looks like some kind of freaky peacock to me.

We do have a few smaller types of owls round here, but this one does look young. When I drove back to teh same spot a bit later, it was gone. I am hoping it was ok.

As for the Peacock, Yeah… it was not in a pen, so could not get the skinny on it.

Next time I go to the zoo I will have to remember to ask someone.

It’ll be fine; baby owls are usually very active and climb in and out of their nests a lot. It was also probably under the watchful eye of it’s parents.
