I remember that game. I once came in third, but still won. Not that that makes any sense.
They have. Easily. Look past your nostalgia and you will see it has been made better by new one they released.
FUCKING CHIPS CHALLENGE.
But you forgot.
HELL YEAH!! I still own ALL of my Pogs
He means by derivative.
Before MKart64, Nintendo was “really cool”, but that game made it “awesome”.
Since then, they’ve been “okay” and “I guess this is a good enough sequel”. There’s not as much innovation these days, relatively speaking.
Admittedly most things have been done before, so it’s hard now to seem as fresh as they were back then.
Oh, and I almost forgot:
Those tracks were responsible for the mind of an engineer, and the imagination of an architect.
Surely they were responsible for the attitutude of a huge cockmongler too?
I was never any good at that.
I will remember those Dino strike slashing jaws! forever.
oh I just remembered something
I forgot a few things
BEST. SEQUEL. EVER.
I think actually I still have the cartridge around here somewhere
Can’t Honestly say I ever made it to that screen, It would usually end up saying “Paperboy calls it quits!”
I want to watch current Saturday Night Live because Keenan is on it, but I can’t because it’s not funny
Damn that cart has some good shit on it.
I actually meant that Mario Kart Advance, while a nice throwback to the original, just wasn’t as refined as MK64. I played Double Dash once, and just didn’t like it at all. Mario Kart DS seems to have a similar feel, (to MK64) but some aspects of it are just broken (snaking? Really Nintendo? You didn’t tune that out?) and I admit that I haven’t played Mario Kart Wii, but that’s because I don’t have a Wii, and everything since MK64 just hasn’t been nearly as good. Mario Kart 64 probably had the most playtime out of all of my N64 games. I got my N64 in 1999, and my sister and I played MK64 pretty regularly for two or three years after that.
But since you mention it Tiki, you’re right. Nintendo’s newer games don’t hold up as well as their 10, 15, or even 20 year old games do. Mario Brothers 3 and Super Mario World are still, IMO, the top two platforming games ever made. The Zelda series had a high point on the SNES and N64, then started to get worse, with the horrible DS games.
I really started gaming on Nintendo consoles, it makes me sad that they’re not really trying anymore, what with the DS and Wii printing money.
:ffffuuuuu: golden axe
