nectarines are a top tier fruit.

Mmmmm mm, peanut butter and bananas. Bananas are a great fruit because of how subtle they are. Practically anything can be combined with bananas, and it will form an acceptable flavour.

The meat of an avocado, guacamole thus included, is still deadly to a wide range of birds.
Furthermore, my parrot is intelligent enough to know which parts are intended to be edible, and would ignore the leaves and peel off the skin, obviously not eating its ginormous seed, if he were given the chance. But that intellect would be useless considering the poison that is avocado.

It evolved to be swallowed practically whole by giant herbivores, who have since gone extinct, and has no role in the modern day foodchain except as a novelty item paraded by gringos which is hazardous to some of the most fundamental life surrounding humans.

Well, don’t feed it to your pets would be a good solution, don’t you think? Oh, and it’s kinda the fault of the animals that they didn’t adapt to the fruit like the ground sloth and Gompothere. How can a plant be held responsible for things that are not his fault?

If “gringos” are the only people that like it, then how come it’s also in some sushi? You forgot to mention the “gaijin.”

Either way, I try to keep away from avocado, but I’m actually willing to eat some things made with it, unlike nasty ass pineapple.

Avocado is delicious and the secret to avoiding the slippery texture is to squash them up and make guacamole, clearly!

I actually made guacamole the other day.

But I didn’t eat any of it.

Guacamole is awesome, but raw avocados leave a gaping chasm to be desired.

I could eat raw avocado all day.

Yes.

Great with a few prawns as-well as a starter.

In general fruit is what my food eats, and not me, but I’m kinda surprised that Honeydew hasn’t shown up on a list ( that I’ve seen ).
Also, technically a jalapeño is a fruit ( being a Capsicum ), so I would say it is may favorite. Tastes great on nachos+cheese!

i take it you don’t eat many vegetables either

the only thing in the universe I can’t eat is olives, I actually ate olives the other day but I hated it

Lemons are tasty as well tbh, though I don’t eat them very often :frowning:

Gotta agree here.

Also, technically speaking a strawberry is not a fruit. It’s a sugary, fleshy receptacle. The “seeds” are each a small, dry fruit.
And pumpkins are berries.
And peaches, plums, cherries, and olives are all in the same group of fruit.
And we only eat the seeds of coconuts.
Those helicopter seeds are also fruit.
Various nuts are fruits.
Never eat a wild “tomato”, because chances are it’s not a tomato, but a relative that looks like it, and is probably very very toxic, since tomatoes are in the night shade family, and are one of the only members of that family that aren’t horribly poisonous.

(source: where else)
(& still technically fruit)

Notice that part has no citation. And it’s bullshit, since the botanical term for a fruit is a ripened ovary. The fleshy part we enjoy is not an ovary, therefore it is not a fruit.

(citey enough yet?)

And before you jump to definition 1d,
know that the “fruit” we’re defining is in the context of something a plant produces that is eaten - - not in the context of plant reproduction micromechanics - - and as 1d makes no mention of any relation with edibility, its specification does not apply.
