Mac OSX: Is it supported? + How to play BM on Mac

Okay so I have got it to launch successfully… however, whenever I press any key on my keyboard it just quits… almost as if I told it to quit

I am using a MacBook Pro with Retina Display (Early 2013) with OS X Yosemite Beta.

Not sure if anyone is keeping an eye on this though

same here man. i was gonna message Stitch real quick and see what they said

I actually found out the solution myself haha

well shit thats good news man! how do you do that exactly? is that a steam thing or an in-game thing? cause i can’t find the option in BM and my settings screen for steam, doesn’t show any thing. must be the wrapper messing up the grafx. thanks for your help btw!

Just go into preference and I think it should be in the Game pane

thanks man!

ended up doing it by going INTO the “c drive” and just deleting all the files that said anything about an overlay… exe’s dl’'s all that shit.

I couldn’t find the spot you were talking about but i made it work.

thanks for the help tho!

I am playing it through on Mac OS X, got my hands on to quite a nice port of BMS for the Mac :wink:

where did you get it from i hate the port i have it may not crash but it looks terrible even on the high settings

@lightninrod4 I’ll pm you

Black Mesa running natively on OS X using hl2_osx

thanks for pm couldnt get the bitsync thing to work though tried the runnning it with the source 2013 base knida plays like the synergy version

I have Black Mesa inside of my Steam library, I followed your steps, I downloaded Source SDK Base 2007, but the game will not launch when I click on play. Any ideas?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
