I ended up remaking every car in GTA3 with today’s graphics, probably partly inspired by BM. Even without having to focus on changing the other models, the animations, the music, the coding, it was a massive amount of work. I cant imagine how many man hours I put in but I’m sure the BM guys have put in many many more. Making games is a bitch. Especially when you’re trying to compete with today’s standards.
This guys making a top down shooter in game maker for a year guys, I think he knows what it’s like to be a Black Mesa developer ffs.
I must say the author is right. I am a CSPromod beta tester and I know how hard is it to find some free time for the game, whether it’s me of any of the devs. People have their real lifes and much more important problems.
