hey can maybe i can helpa about some textures in xen. ive found HD textures from Half life gold im gonna download it, convert detailed textures to vtf and create thir normals.
and… can i use gimp for this, im using it for first time so i dnot know how well it is. XD

hey me again. hey guys im sorry if im so boring and im posting so many text but ive got an idea. for textures you dont have you can use the old ones, i mean you can add them sharpnes, normals and mix them with transperent detail.

I plucked up courage and have recently decided to end their own Xen maps. Below you can see screenshots of what I could do.

Have you already implemented the AI of the trees and tentacles? I had done the tree AI for c4a1b but then stopped development in december…
If you want, I can make a tree prefab that includes all the logic and the model.

Few questions :

  • do you have release date already in your mind ?
  • will you create moddb page for it ?
  • will gonarch be added in future releases ?
  • is it still synchronized with latest surface tension uncut scenes.image ?
  • in mbit version of interloper I had strange issues and errors which closed my game, are you using his maps ? If so, did you fix those glitches ?
  • do you plan on making hd skybox for gman sequence and interloper (I mean screenshot with not hd skybox )
  • does nihilanth has all the same abilities he had in half life ?
  • What about scientists corpses ? Do they appear in your map or they are still charple models ?

@vlad: I tried to get the tentacles right, when I edited c4a1b back in december. The npc_tentacle entity is unusable there. You will have to use the model on a prop_dynamic and do the animations, AI and player damage by means of entity logic. I stopped development at about the time when I realized this. Good luck.
