HD Pack Styled Sleeves

Thankies!

I have a patch ready, but I guess I won’t be uploading it until the whole Workshop tool situation is sorted.

Could always upload it to somewhere like GameBanana in the meantime. While not as convenient as the Workshop, at least people could access it.

Patch up on Gamebanana.

Still not on the Tau, getting closer.

I’ve been thinking about something, now that the arms are almost done (Gauss missing from what you say). It’s pretty much a request, so let’s get to it:

When BM first came out, someone made an HD pack for it (it’s still on GB as far as I’m aware), with M16/M4, Beretta (if I’m not mistaken), a new Shotgun, .357, and many more. There were also new hand models.

What I’d like to ask if you could do a similar pack, with a M4, new Shotgun, Beretta, and what else was significantly altered by the HD pack in HL1, using these hands. Or, if not possible, if you could rig the hands on that weapons, if the author would allow this.

I’ve seen that you’ve made a new Gluon and Mk II grenade so far

I don’t think I’m that good. Pretty sure if I tried to do those weapons it would turn out disastrously.

Also huh, I forgot to make a thread for the grenade. Not sure if it’s worth it.

Knowing that, one day, i could model stuff like this…

FILLS ME WITH DETERMINATION

I’ve only been at it off and on (mostly off) for under two years, so you could probably match if not surpass this before long!

Yay. All i need is a better computer.

I noted this on the Workshop page as well, but I figure it’s worth noting here as well - it occurred to me that all the weapons that cause the HECU-arms bug to occur are the grenade category weapons (frag, tripmine, satchel, snark) and the crossbow (EDIT2: And the RPG, I forgot about that) - in other words, all the weapons with dynamic animations.

Seeing as it seems to be a bug in Black Mesa itself, I dunno how much that’s worth, but I can’t help but feel that there’s some relation there.

EDIT: Also, since I don’t think I’ve said it on the Workshop, I’d just like to say - I absolutely love how these sleeves look. They’re great.

Also happens with the .357.
I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do about the bug.

We’re considering releasing the .smds of our weapons to help modders properly modify them without breaking the hands. We might do this in the future.

To clarify what I mean - I’ve only ever seen the hand-swap affect the crowbar and magnum. The trigger for it in-game seems to be switching to one of the dynamic animation weapons - I haven’t personally seen the glitch appear when switching between any other weapons. It’s just the dynamic animation weapons that cause it for me.

I realize there doesn’t seem to be much you can do about it at the moment, but I figured it might be worth making a note of this anyways.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
