Happy Birthday CatzEyes93!

Ik denk ni da CatzEyes93 nederlands spreekt :stuck_out_tongue:

Translation: I don’t think that she speaks dutch.

Bappy Hirthday, Catz!

Grattis pÄ födelsedagen!

There, you got in swedish.

She probably doesn’t, but Google Translate does

You know what I love about Dutch? An English-speaker can translate it.

“Ik denk ni da CatzEyes93 nederlands spreekt”
“I think not that CatzEyes93 speaks Netherlandish”

Dansk er det samme!

¥Arriba en español!
Feliz cumpleaños a ti.

Är du dansk? Haha, det lĂ„ter lite som svenska.

“Are you Danish? Haha, that [lĂ„ter] like some Swedish.”

Nah, but a friend of mine sometimes mistakenly types to me in Danish, and it’s still understandable.

Herzlichen GlĂŒckwunsch und alles Gute zum Geburtstag!

Happy birthday! :what:

Hehe, I believe I started something :stuck_out_tongue:

Completely unrelated: I think it’s completely awesome how people from all over the world can unite in a thing they like (in this case the BM forums) and just talk to each other and have a good time.

Arriba en español? What on earth is that supposed to mean? :fffuuu:

Happy birthday, Catz! Or, as we say here, ¡Ojalá que tengai un buen cumple, que la pasí’ la raja!

indicator that I’m not a native Spanish speaker. Throwback to the excited “Forwaaard!” cries of “¡Arrrribaa!” in older films full of Mexicans on horseback. By using a term that’s become famous to us gringos, and drawing attention to the selected language (which had so far been ignored), “Forward in Spanish” was able to keep me from being confused as a native speaker.

Indicator that TV lies. “¡Arrrribaa!” means “up”, not “forward”. If you wanted to say “forward”, you should have used “adelante”. But I guess there is no way for you to know, seeing that you don’t seem to know much Spanish. It’s a shame, though, that you are holding on to a wrong sentence in Spanish to avoid confusion. But, I repeat, no offense meant, I blame TV :stuck_out_tongue: (and I am paraphrasing your post, this is not a personal attack).

Also, there’s no need to refer as yourself as gringo. That’s heavily offensive, you know.
