Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

The vorts have changed over time.

The ones in HL1 had a sort of webbed skin, the ones in HL2 had a very rough looking skin, and the ones in EP2 have a very smoother looking skin.

Since the EP2 Vortigaunt is the latest rendition, they are using that one.

I know they’ve changed, I was just wondering if anyone would share my preference. Ah well, I tried.

I personally preferred the mottled skin too, but since the Orange Box engine has a smooth-skinned Vortigaunt model we kind of have to accept that as Valve’s vision of the creatures.

Plus it makes sense, if the Vorts were living in city 17, it makes sense they would look grungy.

If they lived in the outlands, or were just teleported in from Xen, They would have clean skin.

Maybe there are different species of Vortigaunt? One smooth skin, one rough.

It’s not really that far fetched considering we have black people, white people, brown people, asian people, etc.

duh! We should see racist vortigaunts killing each other!

Or we could stick to my theory and make me feel proud.

We do :o

I love how ‘Asian’ is a color :3

It’s in the Roy G. Biv mnemonic. O for oriental :expressionless:

Would you prefer I say “white people of asian decent that look slightly different from white people of european decent”? :stuck_out_tongue:

It would be awesome if the aliens could have slightly different patterns so they wouldn’t all look the same. Kind of like the face creation system BM has for the people.

Anyone think that https://wiki.blackmesasource.com/index.php/File:Guard.jpg kind of looks like Jason Statham?

No, because that sentence doesn’t make any sense.

Nope.

Yes it does.

Decent=/=Descent

it still doesn’t make any sense.

Oh, I only meant in grammatical terms.

This has probably already been suggested, but I’d like to see a lot more fires in Black Mesa than were in Half-Life, particularly in Unforseen Consequences and Office Complex.

New chapter: We are on Fire!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
