Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

no can do. but I think Bing Energy cola would suffice!

Mein Gott! You could be on to something!

Alcoholic beverages?

Actually I once stayed awake and alert for a straight 16 hours after taking some Berocca Performance.

I just use plain 'ol heroin. Oh wait, someone already mentioned drugs. Erm… Heroin… And… Power Rangers?

It’s been said before a shitload of times… but…

FUCKING SPACEBIKER IN DM/COOP

Co-op’s dead.

How can you be aware of that yet still think it worth posting?

[COLOR=‘Red’]topic

i already tought so… why else invest hounderts of hours of your free time in making something silly as a remake of a 12 year old game. i actually feel quite the same :fffuuu:

Fun Fact: It is more dangerous to go with out sleep than it is to go with out food, if you stay up longer than ten days with out sleep your body begins to shutdown. I don’t know how anyone can go 10 days with out sleep though I only made it 5 days before I just passed out and for 2 of them I wasn’t really there, more like a zombie. Uh so on topic…
I think water splash effects should be used when the player is running in the water instead of just when the player shoots it.

Isn’t that already what happens? Or have I been spending too much time testing my L4D2 map?

Suggestion: Give office rotating chairs an axis so they actually rotate as you’d expect them rather than be fixed and just fall over like in most source games.

There are only splash sounds, but no splash visual when the player runs in the water…I think.

omg enough of the number game! stupid rambling posts deleted again!

topic please for the love of all that is holy!

:fffuuu:RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

I think parts of xen should be slightly foggy, not to the point where you can’t see any thing but just enough to make it seem creepier.

Edit: nevermind I thought about it after I posted it and I realize it would turn xen into a slide show for some people.

Wouldn’t it kind of depend on how it’s implemented? If it’s more off in the distance, it could make the levels seem more immense without actually making them huge. But I don’t even know if that would make a difference in performance since I don’t know a thing about mapping… or if “far off fog” is even doable in the first place.

It would have to be subtle. SC did something like that - love the mod, but that’s one of the things that annoys me: when you run backwards, all you can see is a series of geyser-like sprites behind you
Um, I mean in front of you… whatever, you know what I mean

As suggested in the other thread which is now closed…

A sticky thread where only the devs and mods can post. Thread could be called something like “Developer Updates”.

Post screenies, general tid-bits, talk about the problems you currently have with the mod, how to resolve them etc…

Don’t let people like me or anyone else who isn’t a mod/dev post in there so people can easily see what kind of stage you are at with the mod without having to read all the trolling, flaming, bitching etc…

This would then not need to be policed and people could check the last post made on a daily basis easily enough.

Definitely have it here on the forums as not everyone (like myself) has Twitter.

P.S. I’m not getting Twitter either as I cba filling out yet another profile page!

  1. You don’t need twitter to see the updates.
  2. They haven’t been updating much anyway.

Is anyone else reading into this lack of updates as well? I’m being optimistic, but whenever a media release is about to happen they stop the community projects.

It’s been 54 days since the last one. They fit four updates in the 55 days prior to that.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
