“good news. I got off the phone with the big boss and we are putting lighting and lightning in the mod just for you.”
thank you!!

That’s enough fun for now guys, I admit I fueled the fire. Don’t make me give out infractions now, that wouldn’t be very nice now would it?

oh my god

Allright, about the whole “Free-aim” thing that syshock had posted a few pages ago:

I think we are all missing out on the fact that the free aiming feature syshock suggested to be in BMS(IMO) has nothing to do with WHERE the bullets go(they will always go towards the cross-hair), but rather how the gun looks when it shoots and before it shoots while Mr. freeman is moving around.

The first two videos on his post are good examples of what I think hes referring to. I mean I’m not sure what the current kickback is for the weapons, or what the movement looks like while sprinting or running - I’m assuming its fairly similar to HL2(duh). In that case, I think there could be a lot of improvement if we wanted to make it look more realistic or just change that look in general.

The aiming, though, with cross-hair, for HL2/BMS, shouldn’t change at all, I love how it is and I think I speak for 98% of us when I say so does everyone else!

As far as if that type of “free aim” movement(not aiming) fits BMS, I think it really could, i know I would love to see it, but with the extra coding, I wouldn’t want it to push back the release - I’d rather play the game, ya know?

EDIT
sorry, his quote didnt come up, here is those two links he posted:

There will be no free-aim in Black Mesa. Get over it.

… which we don’t want to do because the objective is to stay in-line with the general gameplay of HL.

It’s hard to take a dude named wangmauler seriously.

You probably don’t even have HL2. :retard:
EDIT:
Was talking about Fee.

You do know that HL2 was set 20 years after HL right?

And that the portal in HL2:Ep 2 was not present in HL?

I know I shouldn’t feed the troll but I can’t resist! :retard:

The guns in Hl2 and the episodes already sway when you look around. Go check for yourself.

That’s not what he’s talking about :expressionless:

No, no, no! Fee made this thread ridiculously funny, don’t ruin it with this free aim crap again. No free aim, the enk.

Well I guess that’s what I get for only reading the first paragraph.

Ummm… yeah that’s kinda what he was talking about

He was just saying that he doesn’t want the gun glued permanently straight at the crasshair, but that when you fair it snaps back to the crosshair

bscly

During the first heavy combat with human enemies, when it’s hard to hear anything, the announcement system should go:
“Attention. All your base are belong to us.”

Sorry, I was going through the 404 pages again, and I couldn’t get that idea out of my head, despite its underwhelming stupidity.

That’ll only work for one game.

Black mesa needs it’s own:
“THIS. ANNOUNCEMENT. SYSTEM. IS NOW UNDER. MILITARY. CONTROL.” From HL1, And that’s what it will have.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
