Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

tram stops or slows down some times… (like the first time you see g-man in another tram) since calhoun is just a retconned character, in first game this wasnt possible…

think like this, whould a friend ignore you when you passing with your car? he would say “hi”…

Except he is 20-30 feet away and your in a tram with thick glass so you wont hear him. We also already sync the music to start/end in certain spots so changing the tram speed is out of the question. The most you would get is a wave…but a wave would be silly as we have him focused on banging the door specifically so you cant see his face ( so you can assume it to be whoever ). :frowning:

^ That’s good, I’m glad of that. There was a pretty hilarious discussion about it, but that to me seems the best option.

That’s a pretty silly analogy.

The player won’t be able to see his face… Ok.

So, you devs not even bothered to create a face for him? Or do you plan to make a face as you did with Eli and Kleiner?
(Isn’t possible to the player see his face in normal ways, but we could use a noclip cvar to fly to him and see his face…).

I think he should have no facial features whatsoever.

is it silly? YES… do i care what you think? NO…

i didn’t speak english for years… i can forget some words or i can write them in wrong order… i can also try to write some good analogy but sometimes it can be sound silly

Looking through the screenshots, I noticed that the aircraft added to surface tension has no engines, just four missiles and two bombs. However does it fly? If someone else has mentioned this, or it has been “repaired” then I appologize.

Most smaller fighter aircraft don’t have under-wing mounted engines like commercial or transport aircraft. Specifically in the case of the AV-8B (which is what the model is based off of) the engines can be adjusted for V/STOL operations and are rather small. You can actually see the engines in the beauty render on the main page; here is a shot of the real thing to compare (the engines are the little cylindrical things aiming downwards behind the D-shaped air intakes in the photograph)

Will we see the jets any other times besides the famous cliff side scene? Would be sweet to see them flying overhead in ST. Now that I think about it, there is that one part where they fly ridiculously low and drop their bombs just as you’ve emerged from the garage where you get the hivehand.

They’re not the actual engines though, they’re just the thrust vents. The turbine itself is inside the body of the plane, but the multidirectional vents are positioned on the outside corners to give it USTOVL ability.

Heh, you got me there. I figured a simplified approach to the answer would have been acceptable, given the question :stuck_out_tongue:

I know of no further locations aside from the two you’ve mentioned…flyby sounds and such are of course standard fare for the surface soundscapes, however…unless you’re looking skywards constantly, fast movers have always passed you by the time you hear them anyway

Awesome, well as long as you can hear them, then.

Will a time come when the devs decide that no more new ideas will be considered? Has that time already come? lol

I hope so, if we keep on proposing more ideas to the devs which may be as good enough to be involved the mod will be released even later.

Don’t worry, I’m sure they reject 99% of the suggestions made, so it doesn’t slow them down at all.

thanks, I can speculate too. I’m really just wondering if they are done the game and testing. lol

Adding “lol” to the end of every reply has the following effects:

Credibility/Interest: -90%
Annoyance: +50%
Grammar & Spelling Nazi Visibility: +100%
Negative Newbie Value: +80
Positive Newbie Value: -130

If you used the Optimum Equipment option, the Full Stop Lol would not be selected.

The point is to simply show im not being 100% serious. Sure Id love an answer as to when the mod will be out, but I dont expect one.

Good job making up meaningless percents in an attempt to be humorous. Bravo.

I think he did good. lol
