Don’t underestimate horses, the German Wehrmacht conquered most of Europe, North Africa and large portions of the Soviet union using more than a million horses to mobilize their grenadiers.

Information always takes time to disseminate, and the speed of dissemination is always increasing. What if dissemination accelerates at such a rate that it only arrives as future information has been created, distributed, and sent? Would it create the informational equivalent of a sonic boom?

We should conduct warfare against extraterrestrials as soon as we’re confident our speed of interplanetary transportation will increase at a steady rate. If we freeze and send the first wave now, the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth waves can be sent periodically and arrive at the same time.
