what he means is that the map seems rather undetailed compared to the models and props being used.
because the map is a remake of the old half life source map it is undetailed.

Well. Originally I thought it was HL: S because that is the GoldSrc lobby for sure. It being a direct remake in HL2DM has no significance whatsoever, it’s still a 1:1 remake of the HL1 lobby, thus detracting from the rest of the image.

There’s also still way too much blood going on in there.

Actually it looks worse than the HL: S lobby IMO.
I figured by now someone would have remade the lobby in decent quality (aside from the BM devs of course)

It’s an okay remake but it’s not the best.

Like I said before, stop posing read bodies. When someone is dead, they turn into a ragdoll, and if you try to post them in a dead position, they look awkward.
The guy on the right, if you wanted him sitting up, make him slouch down a bit more then lean him against the wall, and only lock the waist or head. If you lock to many parts (like you did), it looks weird and unnatural.

To be honest: your first picture was by far your best, despite the awkward pose that the ‘victim’ is in (as someone already mentioned: he would most likely not have fallen in such a position). You could have done a better job with zombie guy as well. Made him a bit more menacing, you know? The lighting is alright though.

I’m not even going to bother with the second, haha.

Third picture has them awkward poses again and it just doesn’t feel as atmospheric as you may have wanted. You might want to work on your faceposing as well - since the guy on the right looks like he’s actually having a good time (unless that’s what you were aiming for). It just seems a bit bland.

So yeah - I prefered the first one to be honest

Edit: Haha, Level pretty much ninja’d me
