Formula 1 Thread

Its never an exciting circuit, but i’ve always kind of liked it, i think its because it reminds me that summer is on its way and kind of cheers me up!

Heidfeld is not that bad. Plus he was pirelli’s driver to test the new tires.

Thing is, Kubica was getting very exciting last year, and now he’s in rehab. I gonna miss him.

Yeah me too. But he will return more determined than ever, like after its crash in Canada few years ago.

So, a new season in 2011, and this guy is still on top:

Hamilton 2nd, and PETROV IS 3RD. Epic shit, mentlegen.
So here we have RB dominating yet again, McLaren second plus fast Renault and Ferrari.

Special mention for Perez and Di Resta for their first race.

And LOL at the DRS

Fucking hell, Perez owned kobayashi himself!

Perez’s 1 stop was absolutely stunning. Although it is one of the easier tracks wear-wise.

Anyone catch how Sutil overtook di Resta? Was it actually a racing move?

I should try and follow this season. Anyone know a channel that shows the races in the US?

Some not so legal websites rip the whole coverage from BBC iPlayer and upload them, so you could download it?

Gotta say, Massa was fucking slow yesterday. Cost JB a race

His car looked horrible in practice and quali!

I downloaded a 14GB BBC HD rip, looks awesome. I only had a crappy online stream for most of the race, so going to re-watch it sometime this week.

Perez was amazing, 1 fucking stop haha. And good on Petrov getting a podium, although it looks like this year is going to be another one filled with Vettel pointing a lot. Hopefully Webber can get up and get some good podium finishes and a bunch of points.

Also RBR didn’t use KERs all weekend, madness!

Are you sure ? I thought they had it mounted on their cars but Webber didn’t used it during the race for God knows what reason.

No, it wasn’t installed during the race at all. They assumed it could be unreliable, thus affecting braking efficiency and making the car carry around a dead weight.

ah okay. They misled me when the “HUD” on tv showed the battery gauge full. That explains why Webber was passed by Hamilton at the start. Plus they don’t have a normal Kers like the others I’ve heard.

Webber could have been running it, but i’m pretty sure vettel wasn’t.

Straight after the race RBR engineers confirmed they weren’t running KERs. I’ll try and find the exact quote from the broadcast tonight. They said they had too many issues with it and decided not to bother.

Even without kers they still rule.

If they ran it, and it did break, lewis could have very well caught up with seb! KERS is not always a good thing haha.
