BM Lobby Redesign

Yes, it is the standard procedure… But looking at the image of the lobby, we can deduce that the procedure didn’t work very well and people perished there (inasmuch as the room is full of zombies, including a zombie guard that probably is the one that says “Hey Mr. Freeman, I had a system crash…” – and if he is there, is secure to say that he fought and died near the desk).

So, my suggestion is still valid. Anyway, it is up to devs implement this. I only said that cause I think this minor detail would add much more caos and terror feeling to the scene.

It wouldn’t be that hard to change either. My vote is in for seeing a messed up desk :stuck_out_tongue:

I vote for the devs not looking back to change things they have already finished, but rather finishing what has yet to be completed in order for Black Mesa to be playable and ready for release.

But that view is subjective. In a sense, you could say that the desk has not been ‘completed.’

Isn’t Johnny Depp and Colonel Sanders from your town?

Johnny Depp is, I’m not sure about The Col.

regardless, that’s pretty cool.

on topic: being as the developers have gone through tons of variations, i don’t see why the whole ‘complete’ argument is relevant.

Well nothing is ever complete until the artist says it is, so therefore it’s subjective.

The monitors could be attached to the desk, which would explain why they haven’t been knocked off it yet.

They could leave the desk nice and organized, thus leaving the player the pleasure of destroying it if they feel the need to…

I’m sure the scientists and security guards thought about that as they were being attacked by aliens

Argh! I can’t feel my legs! wait! I need to straighten up this monitor!

Gordon might come in here and get his messin-up-desks on!

Let’s all go to the lobby…

It looks really fine actually all the starts looks fine :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the idea man, even thought its probably a little to late, its still cool.

I assume there’s a reason It looks like beta, right? (the zombie’s animation, the actual lobby, and the glock world model)

Are you sure you know what you’re talking about?

I don’t think he does.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
