Black Mesa Deathmatch: BMDM

Sure there are many experienced mappers who do so… but also many who are less experienced and don’t do that.

Most mappers release their maps for testing purposes only hence the RC / Beta naming Scheme. It is up to the Game Server Op to test before putting them on a server - common sense really.

So… Are there any changes coming to Black Mesa Deathmatch regarding gameplay (compared to original Half-life1)?

I mean things like movement, weapon-functions, balancement… etc.
I heard some things will be changed… for example the RPG (hl2-style) and the Crossbow (no insta-hit in zoom mode)… Is that true? If yes, is it possible to add a command which lets you play with original hl1 weapons (same weapon properties than original hl1).

Sure… HL1DM bow was not realistic… but… it was very good for the balancing and also fun to play. I also found the HL2 RPG too easy to use. You were nearly uable to not hit your target…

I didnt like HL2DM all that much.

I just hope in BM there arent random props all over the place to make moving around annoying.

It shouldn’t be too hard to adapt Sourcemod to achieve this, though the multiplayer will be awesome as it is.

It wouldn’t be hard to do. But there’s no reason for them to do it.

I meant it shouldn’t be hard to do it yourself if you are running a BMDM server.

Oh, haha. I hadn’t heard of that before.
Neat.
