They have a non-disclosure agreement with Valve, I’m just saying.
Maybe they are still lying to us all, stranger things have happened.

We’re not. Crazy speculation like this only leads to disappointment, just like the rumours we were on Source 2 initially. If something secret was going on in the background, we just wouldn’t comment on any of this, and keep it quiet. Nothing is happening, or will happen.
I mean it. Stop. Stuff like this very quickly gets out of hand and spread around as misinformation.

So… you are saying that you guys are making HALF-LIFE 3? YEEEAAAHH. Half-Life 3 confirmed you guys…
Calm down. It was just a joke and no need to act like this. Perhaps it will be ported to Source 2 one day, perhaps it never will, perhaps it will get cancelled soon, perhaps it will be picked the game of the year.
We are just talking, but if you don’t want that, thats fine.
There’s no need to play the victim. The phrase grasping at straws comes to mind with this particular topic. We welcome discussion about anything BMS related on these forums, but as we’ve pretty decisively shot down the idea of a Source 2 port (on multiple occasions), I don’t really see how there’s any more productive discussion to be had.
Sarcasm and jokes don’t often come across very well over the internet, where tone can’t be adequately conveyed. It certainly didn’t come across as a joke to me, because I’ve seen people make similar logical leaps from sentences like that. I’m not trying to stifle discussion so much as trying to prevent wildfires. I am fine with talking, but have witnessed first hand how a simple discussion like this can very quickly expand into far more than intended, as with the initial Source 2 rumours. I am wary of that.
Feel free to talk about anything else.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
