Assumption: it makes an ass of u and mption.
See? War is hell.
[COLOR=‘Black’]Dillxn, we seem to have bought our santa hats at the same store.
His is the left handed version
EDIT:
Eternalness’ is the same as well.
You know we should have seen this delay coming ;
Oh well, hopefully the Black Mesa team will be done working on parts of the game, at the end of christmas, and be done ironing out the glitches by the time SGU gets back on!^_^(Sometime in april)
Haha, yes sir.
Well now my end of 2009 post looks retarded. Sorry I didn’t read this ahead of time. Oh well, more waiting is nothing new concerning mods. When it’s done.
You know, I remeber hearing by a dev or whatever…
-We will never give a release date, because of the expectations it gives and if we don’t meet it, people will be annoyed or pissed or etc, etc…
So, why ever have one? Seriously. I don’t care how much time you take to make the mod. The thing I actually disagree with is giving us a release date.
I just don’t understand why one day you’d never want to give a release date, and then you do give one and you can’t release in time. Thats what annoys me.
Ya I agree, I had real high expectations of this year, then waiting until now to hear it has been delayed 'till 2010, kind of annoys me. Don’t get me wrong take your time, we dont want any bugs/glitches etc. But please stick to your word.
When a multi-billion dollar corporation puts out a definite release date and delays it no one throws a bitch-fit. But a 70-person mod team gives us a TENTATIVE release date – they always said they were gonna TRY, not that it was a sure thing – then they’re not sticking to their word.
We’ve been waiting almost five years for this mod, another couple months won’t kill ya.
Wow, I actually skimmed through all of the posts on this. I can’t tell whether that reflects well or poorly on me . . .
Anyway, it would have been cool if y’all pulled off a 2009 release date in the end, but there’s more to life than just gaming. Not the least of which would I expect everyone developing BM to forfeit such a thing. All of that notwithstanding a commitment to doing things right the first time without resorting to needless patching. So, take your time!
I look forward to playing it when it’s ready. Beyond that, I hope the developers have a nice Christmas where they don’t have to worry about rushing a mod or anything related to that.
Okay I know I’m late and all, but: Not big suprise. You want to make a better product and you can’t make the better one if you have the former release date. So let’s just say thank you for delaying it so it wouldn’t be a half assed project, although I doubt it would’ve been half assed with the all the screenshots we’ve all seen so far.
Nope, I have the same hat on steam, We all seemed to Google “Christmas hat”, and picked the First image we saw.
I think there are some people that should be reminded that the most, if not all (lol), of the developers have lives, families, and most likely jobs outside of this project. All of that takes up alot of time out of the day.
If they were able to rely on the mod as a direct source of income, and worked, let’s just say 8 hour days, i’m pretty sure they would have finished ages ago. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
Cut the team some slack whiners. You’re still going to download the game when it’s done, and complaining is just meaningless discouragement.
Having recently just completed the HL series from HL2 for the 7th time I was looking forward to playing the first one again, but wasn’t looking forward to the old style graphics. So I was over the moon when I just recently discovered this remake.
Firstly i’d like to say to the developers, Thanks for keeping this alive, these kinds of productions can die so easily, so it’s amazing and appreciated that you continue for our gaming pleasure.
So did I…
brb suicide
Doesn’t make a difference if it was.
That was then, this is now.
It was coming then, and it is still coming.
lol
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
