Once in a while, people get stupid and start posting stupid stuff or creating stupid posts and we all know what ‘stupid’ does when left alone. Yep. It only gets more stupid. Sometimes I can ignore it and let it get stupid. Other times I just cant take it and I have to rid the world of that bit of stupid.

I got into a nasty flame war about 10 years ago with some doofass on Sierra forums. Till a moderator couldnt take it and told me to shut up. I cant remember ever feeling so foolish over something stupid like that. So I try not to perpetuate the problem.

On the leakfree boards a bunch of kids said they wanted to redo this one game called Half Life. I thought, “hey, if this gets off the ground I wouldnt mind doing the transit system voice work”. So I practiced the nuance of the voice, and then changed it up to be a bit different. Years later they started taking applications and I got in.

I look at it this way… It is always hard to eat crow and it is doubly hard to eat crow if someone else is beating you over the head with it. I am not normally one to beat someone over the head when they are in the wrong.

If ever I am in a position to correct someone (real world or internet) my philosophy is to try to show someone why I think they are in the wrong, but to allow them a way to graciously make amends for it. Then again, there are always the dicks that are just being dicks for the sake of dickness… to which I have zero tolerance and will not allow a gracious amendment. Does all that make sense?
