lol, thanks for the confidence boost pointless! But in this case you are correct, I spent the entire day with error after error, when thinking I had a pattern, turns out I had screwed up the rotation somehow and then things were lining up, I got excited and spoke too soon, so back at it. Next time I keep my mouth shut until I know for fact.

Can someone post what exactly we are trying to decrypt and how it was found? There is a lot of interesting reading here but I’ve lost track of what the central focus even is.
The recent posts about how Stormseeker denied that only hardcore cryptology nerds could solve this puzzle are very refreshing. I’d like to give it another try.

ok folks, I have done some good. someone smarter than I needs to solve this, my math skills are not so great, nor do I have any concept of coding or physics. The message was found inside an ASCII85 encoded file called HALOS.txt, which was found in the hidden password protected area “thepizzaisalie” on stormseeker’s website (the site is currently offline, however, and has been offline for unknown reasons since the end of December, 2015).
The HALOS.txt file was discovered shortly after we received IRC clue 6.
About a month after the code was discovered, Dr. Horn created a page on the wiki: Tempus omnia revelant
It is believed that the wiki page contains a clue to the HALOS.txt code puzzle.
Much later, a hint from stormseeker was discovered inside JavaScript files on his website:

Also, a mysterious message was posted to the 752 Hex Code wiki page in the comments section. The IP address of the poster suggests that it might have been posted by stormseeker. However, it has not been confirmed with certainty that it was indeed posted by him.

I looked at the hex code again, to me at least it does not seem like hex but something that looks like hex but is not hex.
correct, I believe it to be an inversion of the letters and numbers. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wu_experiment it shows a clock, and shows a diagram that I posted above, 21 into 1, 1 into 12 , the letters are also inversed, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse_function , now the benalohpaillier, I don’t know enough about math, but from what I have gathered, these typs of encryptions are basic math, combined with the stuff about leptons clue. the leptons talk about fractions of integers, , so something along the lines of b=z +(z/x) for instance the beginning of the string. string b32= b=e=4(3/2)
the B inversed to E, which = 4 (3/2) or
maybe something like this as well

Wow, solid work! Tomorrow I’m gonna try to wrap my head around it(3:49 am where I’m at right now) and get a few attempts in based off of what you presented. I’m not really great at cryptology or anything, but Storm did say you can figure this out even if you aren’t a hardcore crypto-nerd.
Also, where are those screenshots from in the game? I think that might need closer investigating as well. It looks super suspicious.
lol, its late here too, about 330am, those screenshots are during unforeseen consequences, off the top of myhead I cant recall exactly where, I went through the other night and took screen shots of every single number or combination I could find, I think the color code combinations and them swapping might have some value

Well, I guess we’ll have to check to be sure, but I am pretty sure he meant to say QE. I can confirm that the the ‘FIX IT DENIZ’ monitor in QE that had a missing skin/texture in Content Update 0.2.0 has been fixed. Disappointingly, it’s been restored back to how it was before, i.e. it uses the same monitor_screen_on5 texture as before—so nothing new there. I wonder why they renamed the skin in the monitor model in the first place. Oh well.
How about I do a live stream on Twitch or something and look for little clues? I think I can set it up fairly easy.
I was thinking about hopping on and looking for some stuff myself, this whole looking at things reversed I think is money, dr.horn/dr…halo, references of things being reversed, what is your twitch handle? I’ve played through hl many times but not black mesa completely. I need to get on it. I was thinking last night, what a story half-ife created and how it just stopped after episode 2.
