Airsoft!

Do it simple, let’s forget the whole thing, and don’t turn this thread to a “He Started It” convention.

Well you started it.

[COLOR=‘Red’]Have we really stooped to playground arguments like that. Both of you drop it and get on topic.

Haha, you can never go wrong with a MP5! XD For the price, go with an ICS MP5. I’ve owned a few, ICS is the best out there. Classic Army can’t even COMPETE to ICS. Especially externally. For a nice sidearm, you might want to look into getting a Well G55/MP5, gas blowback goodness! 2,000 rounds per frekkin minute too! And yes, why can’t people accept we like airsoft? I know Kaze has fun with his past times, why can’t we? Becasue they’re ours. Jeez, people, shut up already. All the trolling and whining is doing is showing your immaturity. And nice point at the end man. I’ve never even seen a Geek out in the field playing airsoft. Nor do i expect to call them that because we all like different stuff. So yeah, troll’s, please go away.

That said, Yomomasface, stop whining. You’re spending more time whining about other people than you are saying anything on-topic yourself. I’ll handle the moderation, thank you.

I’ve pretty much decided to go for an electric MP5, but was thinking about using a Clock 18 or 19 (gas blowback) as a sidearm. I cant recall hearing of ICS, but if you have had good experiences with their softguns I’ll try them out perhaps.

Buying softguns domestic isnt a very cheap alternative, I was thinking about ordering from Japan, but don’t know of any companies that ship to Europe. I’ll have to look around some more.

ICS is one of the top top top brands of airsfot equipment. Along with Classic Army and Tokyo Marui.

Former lurker here. Finally decided to register.

I have a CA mp5 sd5, with a hi-cap mag. Excellent gun, and shoots hard, far and fast. Not too impressive in regards to accuracy though.

Anyone have any recommendations as to the best gas-pistols?

Welcome, my common “former lurker”

Never had a gas-pistol, just a normal manual spring Colt 1911, so can’t really recommend anything.

I’m curious about that MP5 of yours though, do you recall what you paid for it?

Thank you for the welcome!

I spent about $400 on the gun itself, and $100 on a spring upgrade and 10.8 V battery, so about $500 total.

Quite a bit of money, but I feel I’ve gotten good use out of it, and try to go airsofting at least once a month.

EDIT: the extra $100 also included a laser sight scope

Doesnt seem to be that expensive, if the quality matches the price compared to other products with the same features.

I assume it has a metal gearbox?

I think it’s mostly metal.

The upgrade I had them put in for me included a heavier duty one I believe. If I hadn’t upgraded the gun, I can safely say I feel it wouldnt have been worth the money. But once it’s upgraded, that gun easily rivals some of the more expensive guns out there.

I had a cheapo mostly hard plastic mp5 by some off brand before I got it, and I would usually get 1 or 2 kills for every day airsofting (which is usually about 3 or 4 games). The first time I took this gun out, I got 11 kills in the first game and 8 kills the second, before the fuse blew

Such is airsofting I suppose.

The man with the biggest gun always wins.
When we compete, its always everyone look for the enemy sniper, and take him out first. Most often though we’ll kill everyone else and only the sniper will be left. And it takes along time if ever to get em down. (Though some smoke grenades in his vicinity work very well!)
If it really is CA, I would be very surprised if it weren’t all metal. What’s it weigh?

About 15 pounds or so.

Edit: Just weighed it, actually about 11 pounds. Sorry guys, too lazy to convert it to kilos. :b

Considering the real MP5SD weighs around 3 kilos, it HAS to be mainly metal

2.2lbs to a kilo, so that’s about exactly 5.

If i were you, I’d go with a WE 5.1 Hi-Capa Dragon. Well, preferable one with a Striker head. :stuck_out_tongue: I personally have a 5.1 Dragon and it’s lasted forever! Shoot’s at a perfect 330FPS too. :3
