'90's,'00's,and 2010's

Me too.

I still wish the 00’s music had never happened.

Yes, Rush, Pink Floyd, ELO, Genesis and King Crimson > Dream Theater

without the 00’s a lot of great stuff would never have happened sure a lot for the mainstream stuff was shit but behind it was the indie stuff and the lesser known things. the 00’s were a big time of music industry selling out so you had to start looking toward the Indie labels for great original music.

A few of the band I really enjoyed of the 00’s would be

Ratatat
The Dear Hunter
Pogo
Philter
Orange Tulip Conspiracy

to name a few.

And they all released in this past decade, and all of it was better than…who was it again? I forget. That was my point.

please Metallica’s new album is shit. I’m not much of a fun of the others so all I’d do is bash that stuff.

But to end it musical taste is like an opinion man.

Death Magnetic? It’s not bad actually. Saw them on tour in Manchester back in Feb, they played some new shit, and it was on par with the old shit imo. St. Anger was worse. Blech. And don’t mention the Load/Reload days. A few good tracks came out of that, but not many.

Like you say music is all opinion, but it’s easy to get hyped up over it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh man, went bowling today. The centre had the radio over the speakers, and the station was playing music from the early 00’s. Man did it suck. The only good songs I picked out were “Tribute” and “Rubbernecking”.

You’re probably talking about a completely different song, but the Meat Puppets’ Rubberneckin’ is from '87.

Blasphemy, you didn’t mention Queen :fffuuu:

Anyways, good lineup you have there

seconded

I don’t really like Queen, sorry… Prog is my favorite style!

That’s your opinion.

Every generation swears it was the first to be a rebel and think of new ways to invent music or rebellion. EVERY generation. Yes, even mine. I remember the rebelous attitude of my friends raging against government and using music to speak out loud.

You know you are old when you see it several times AFTER you yourself are “over” the raging.

Well I don’t think we’re being rebellious at all, and the only music we invented was the crappy kind. The kind that you are forced to hear every day, like lady-man gaga.

Yeah, 9/10 of the “RnB” or “Rap/Pop” these days is just botched techno music with a crappy spoken-word track.

Such truth.

Don’t get me started on “Stronger,” by Kanye West. It won a fucking grammy.

This just in: Grammies and nobel prizes are worthless.

Mod of the Year > Nobel Prize > Grammies

:stuck_out_tongue:

No actually it’s a fact. You can look it up!
